Biography

Born in 1986 in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. He started his learning to play the trombone in 1996. At the First and Second Stage Secondary School of Musical Comprehensive Education in Bielsko-Biała, under supervision of Prof. Zdzisław Stolarczyk.
2010, he graduated with honors under supervision of the same educator at the Cracow Music Academy, Instrumental Department, Trombone Group. He is an outstanding talented musician, gifted with the great instrumental predisposition as well as the musical receptiveness. What was proved with the highest positions at international and all-Polish competitions (Gdańsk year 2012 (Grandprix), Prague year 2011(semifinal), Markneukirchen year 2010 (Semifinal), Dąbrowa Górnicza year 2008 (Grandprix), Brno year 2007 (Grandprix), Warsaw year 2006, Gdańsk year 2005, Jastrzębie-Zdrój year 2004, Mielec year 2003). In his artistic output he has got the solo performances and, among others, with the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, Sinfonia Iuventus Polish Orchestra, Cracov Philharmonic, Zabrze Philharmonic and Bielsko Festival Orchestra as well. He took place in many masterclasses working with: Joseph Alessi, Jonas Bylund, Carsten Swanberg, Chrystian Lindberg, Stefan Schulz, Andreas Klein, Steven Mead, Ed Neumaister, Eliot Chassanov, James Miller, among others. Parallel with his concert activity he also develops his interest in music composition and arrangement. In his artistic composer’s output, he has got both compositions and arrangements for wind-brass instruments as well as the music for advertisings (spectacles) performances, films and for symphonic orchestra as well.  As regards his first composer’s steps the very positive opinions were expressed by Prof. Wincenty Hawel and Prof. Zdzisław Szostak. Mr Tomasz Stolarczyk had been priced many times with the scholarships of Minister of Culture and Arts And The National Fund on Children Benefit. In 2006 he was a student at Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hanover on the Socrates-Erasmus program. In 2010-2011 he was a student at Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien under supervision of Prof. Dietmar Küblböck. In 2007-2011 he was working in Polish Orchestra “Sinfonia Iuventus” as first trombonist. since 2012, is the first trombonist Krakow Philharmonic and teacher at the Academy of Music in Krakow.
